2 Summer Workshop 8 sections
From Monday to Friday, two first weeks of January 11:30 – 13:00 a.m. Focus on oral production From simple present to conditional tenses

3 Schedule Who am I? Hobbies and Routine Simple present practice
Oral production Closure, a tweet a game.

4 Who am I? - Teacher will choose to be someone who is very well – known. Students can ask open and close questions until they guess who he/she is.

5 Hobbies Watch the following video and then discuss questions below with your classmate. Weird Hobbies Do you have any hobbies? Are you planning to have a new hobby? Do you know any strange hobby?

6 Simple Present Now we have talked about hobbies, can you tell us when do we use simple present? To talk about daily activities or things we do every day. Example: I have breakfast every day. – My sister wakes up at 7 o’clock every Monday.

7 Simple Present Structure
Affirmative Form Subject Verb R.O.S ( person, animal, object (rest of the sentence) country, etc.). I practise football every Tuesday from to p.m. She collects travelling postcards.* We water the garden twice a day.

- Remember that when we use the third person singular we must add s – es to the verb. Check and compare: Tatiana practises tennis every Friday and Monday. He works in a bank. John lives very close to the theatre.

Don’t Doesn’t In the case of the negative we use the negative words ‘don’t’ and ‘doesn’t’. I don’t speak four languages. Maria doesn’t live in Santiago. They don’t work in a school.

Do Does Does the sun circle the Earth? Compare: The Earth circles the sun. What changes do you see? 2. Do you speak Spanish? 3. Do we have a new car?

11 Activity 1: Find someone who …
Walk around the classroom and find someone who : Does not live in Santiago. Knows how to set up a Rubik’s cube. Has an Instagram, Facebook and twitter account. Has a rabbit as a pet. Plays an instrument. Remember to ask questions using do – does. Write down your answers in your notebook and then share with the class.

13 Activity 3 What do you at the weekend?
In your notebook write down your partner’s name and then ask him/her at least five questions about his/her weekend.

14 Simple Present Practice
Check the timetable and add at least 5 activities you do every day. Include time and specific details. When you have completed the timetable write down a short paragraph about your daily hobbies. Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday

15 Closure - Write down a tweet summarising what you learnt today. Remember to use 140 characters.
