9
Rite of Baptism All: Baptism means that the sinful nature in us should be drowned by daily sorrow and repentance, and that all its evil deeds and desires be put to death.
10
Rite of Baptism It also means that a new person should daily arise to live before God in righteousness and purity forever.

Confession of Sin Pastor: As baptized children of God we confess our sins: All: Holy and merciful Father, I confess that I am by nature sinful and that I have disobeyed you in my thoughts, words, and actions.
12
Confession of Sin I have done what is evil and failed to do what is good. For this I deserve your punishment both now and in eternity.
13
Confession of Sin But I am truly sorry for my sins, and trusting in my Savior Jesus Christ, I pray: Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Nicene Creed We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
26
Nicene Creed We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father.
27
Nicene Creed Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and became fully human.
28
Nicene Creed For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
He suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures.
29
Nicene Creed He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
30
Nicene Creed We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who in unity with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
31
Nicene Creed We believe in one holy Christian and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
32
Nicene Creed We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
