Proverbs 4:3-4 When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother, he taught me and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live.

Proverbs 4:5 Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth.

Worldly Wisdom 1Corinthians 1:19-20 For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

Paul Prayed Ephesians 1:17 - I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better.

Proverbs 4:7 The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight.

Wisdom – What I Mean 1. The ability to discern or judge what is true, right, or lasting; insight. 2. The ability to see life from God’s point of view.

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.

Proverbs 4:13-14 Keep hold of instruction; do not let go; guard her, for she is your life. Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of the evil.

Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Proverbs 4:19 The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble.

Proverbs 4:26-27 Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.

Proverbs 4:26-27 Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.

For Our Consideration How do we increase our wisdom?

Prayer Focus Thank You Lord for Your word that renews our mind
