Qualify for other positions when possible
Short team-other skills are crucial sometimes
Understand the “FEMA” system
Partner up with FEMA by instructing their classes or become a student
Understand FEMA billing process/ MEMA relationship to towns/etc
Pre-plan & pre-position for the incident if possible
Gain exposure and experience in the All-Hazard arena
