11. History Mumbai was founded in 250 b.C, and it is a very old city.
Its origin was the junction of 7 islands.
It was governed by successive Indian empires, and its population was mainly fishermen before the English arrival there.
Sydney “was found” in 1770 by capitan John Cook.
It started to be a penal colony for the British condemns.
It’s Australia’s oldest city and it has one of the world’s best port.
In 1890 it had habitants and today it has about 4 million.

12. Curiosities Sydney is the financial and comercial centre of Australia.
It is one of the main touristic cities of the world since Last year it recieved more than 2.8 million tourists.
It is a very safe city with a very low criminality rate.
In the Summer of 2000 the city was the headquarter of the Olympic Games.

On the other hand half of the population lives in shanty town.
