Las Vegas is world-renowned as a city of tourism, a major part of this appears to be a green oasis of land (e.g., golf courses and gardens), set in a hot desert. But people warn water supplies could run dry within the next 25 years, while development has stretched onto protected areas. However you arrive in Las Vegas, by car or plane or whatever transport you chose to take you are immediately you may recognise the differences between a popular city and a large desert. Lawn watering FACTS Sunday watering is prohibited!
Sprinkler Watering Tips Use the cycle and soak sprinkler irrigation method, which allows the soil to absorb water slowly. Water only four days per week. *3 times a day *1 hour apart *4 minutes each watering When to Water Water your lawn early in the morning, before sunrise, to reduce evaporation caused by wind and heat. During the hottest hours of the day, water is often lost to evaporation from the heat and high winds. Watering during restricted hours is considered water waste and may result in a water waste fee. Sunday watering is prohibited! The water authorities will pay you to dig up your lawn & replace it with xeriscaping (natural desert plants) or fake grass.
