3. Joanne Malcolm, a 17 year old student, was killed when, while driving, she was sending a text to her mother. Her Citroen Saxo was found crushed by the roadside after hitting two trees along the A35.
Robert Murry 51, killed two young girls aged 12 and 13 when he ploughed into their car with his 40 ton lorry, he was distracted when his phone rang. They were back seat passengers in a Renault Clio when the crash happened in Staffordshire.
Paul Browning 36, killed a 24 year old man when his lorry veered into a lay-by and struck the young man, he was composing a text message to his girlfriend when the crash happened in Essex.
Andrew Crisp 26, killed a mother of two when his truck ploughed into her blue Skoda in a queue of traffic. Crisp was looking at a text message on his mobile when he drove his lorry into the waiting cars.
