2 Congratulations! Is your internship on your schedule?
If no, please see me at the end of the meeting Have you handed in your registration form? Registrar’s office Do you know who your faculty coordinator is? Can be but not always same as your advisor This is a course, and you get a grade. (0-4) Right now you have a 4.0!

3 Anything over 6 credits, must be approved by department Chair
Internship credits 3 credits = 150 hours (15 hours per week , 10 weeks) *** Accounting = 170 (17 hours per week , 10 weeks) 6 credits= 200 hours (20 hours per week , 10 weeks) *** Accounting = 340 (34 hours per week , 10 weeks) Anything over 6 credits, must be approved by department Chair

Check the Due Dates Please see list of Due dates for all assignments Important items to discuss with your internship site: If you intend to take Fall Break and Thanksgiving Break Spring Break, Religious Break, Inclement weather ask how they want you to handle with driving conditions. Discuss when your Internships and classes end 10 weeks –unpaid interns, it is important and courteous to keep the timeline

Must be submitted in; in a sealed envelope, via fax, or ed from site supervisor Students are NOT permitted to fill out their final evaluation Students are NOT permitted to their final evaluations from their address. Failure to submit Final Evaluation will result in an incomplete.

Always communicate in advance any late or missed days due to academic issues, exams, Internship Fair, Conference etc. (planned ) Also the unplanned such as illness Culture Professional dress 3 month interview Office meetings, take part when asked. Gossip Romance Politics Jokes Office gathering /the weekly parties

16 Your experience might be…
It’s Boring- sit all day I have no idea what I’m doing I am so busy and too many people tell me what to do I don’ t like this internship Ask if there is anything to help, research the company or competitor. Write list of questions you have meet with supervisor to get answers Discuss with supervisor, can someone help This is a positive, determines some choices for you going forward career wise. Short term, 10 weeks.

17 Your experience could be …
A job offer to start right now. A glowing reference letter to take on future job interviews. A referral to a sister company in your home town. A job offer upon graduation, rest easy your senior year. Can be part time, move to full time upon graduation. Ask for this to accompany your resume. Do your research, learn about other companies they may own or work closely with that they can ‘sell’ your talents to. A Salary!
