What is IACS? IACS is a constituent Association of IUGG, the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics. IUGG is: a long standing partner of WMO celebrating its 98th anniversary, but is also modernising and developing visions for the future closer to its Associations

What is IACS? IACS is concerned with ice and snow on Earth and in the solar system 11-people elected Bureau, all volunteers! Five divisions Snow and Avalanches Glaciers an Ice Sheets Sea Ice, Lake and River Ice Cryosphere, Atmosphere, and Climate Planetary and other Ices of the Solar System Working and Standing Groups, e.g. Glacier and Permafrost Hazards in Mountains (GAPHAZ)
