I am here as a foreign exchange student from Korea
I am here as a foreign exchange student from Korea. I did a lot of traveling while here. It is cheaper to travel to these places from the US as opposed to Korea. This is a brief route I’ve traveled. Its landscape and historical relics astonished me.

Huaraz - Peru The first city I visited was in Peru. There wasa lot of unsavory rumor about this country’s public security. However, this is my first impression of this city: People lived in the pure, natural environment. There is hardly any noise. The only thing that made me uncomfortable was altitude sickness, because this city has an elevation of approximately 3000 meters.
4
Huaraz - Peru Many visitors from around the world
came to this city, hiking the trail of Lake 69, located 4600m at the flank of The Pisco and Chacraraju Mountain. The stunning landscape on the way to Lake 69 make awe people and inspire them to keep trekking to see the 69th lake on the peak of this mountain.

Laguna 69 – Huaraz – Peru Many people struggle with the hike right before they reach the highest peak due to the high altitude. Also the weather changed every 10 minutes, from hot to cold. However, the situation could quickly go the other way as soon as they see the view of one of the most beautiful aqua colored glacial lakes.

Glacier tour – Huaraz – Peru
Even though this destination has higher altitude than Lake 69, 5240m, I found less difficulties when I was trekking here. I was enticed by the images of the grand presence of the natural environment.
7
Huacachina - Peru A village, built around a small oasis
surrounded by sand dunes. A day tour is available including sandboarding and dune buggy riding. Although fine sand was annoying the rest of my trip, I couldn’t get the image out of my head. Sunset gives greater depth to the color sense of the sand dune.

Machu Picchu – Peru One of the Seven Wonders of the world,
also known as the city which it throws awayor the aerial city, is located 2,280m. The point is the elaborated technique: How did they moved hundreds tons of rocks and build this city at that time? This breathtaking view left people dumbfounded.
9
Isla del Sol - Bolivia Island of the Sun, located in the
southern part of Lake Titicaca on boundary of Peru and Bolivia. This is the place without much civilization: no Internet. Glaciers is visible slightly and view of sunset made me relaxed on top of the island.
10
Uyuni – Bolivia A salt flat located in Bolivia. Unusual view can be available to see when it’s rainy season, which puddles are made up through this vast flat, then it reflect the sky. I feel like walking in heaven when there are puddles.
