Concentrate on what actually happens in the process

Start with process architecture diagram, produced in the architect and align phase
Identify the relationships among business processes, technologies, human resources, and business strategy.

IGOE’s (input, Guide, Output & Enabler) process modelling, flowchart, IDEF0, ASME
Focus on process flow and the objects being transformed in the process
Start from the outcomes of the process and work backward
