Angles are measured using a protractor. They are also measured in degrees. Use the degree symbol… for example, 20°

Vertex Bottom Ray When measuring using a protractor, you must get the vertex and the bottom ray of the angle centered on the zero line of the protractor.

Then read the angle measure by finding where the ray that opens up from the bottom ray lies.

60° Then read the angle measure by finding where the ray that opens up from the bottom ray lies. In this case, the angle is 60°.

You use the inside scale because the angle is opening up from the right side and the values are increasing as the ray opens up.
