Why SLCDA? ‘An all Community Approach’ An excellent summer alternative for rising juniors and seniors. Goal is to return student to their hometown… With enhanced leadership skills With a heightened appreciation for ethics and civic responsibility A better citizen The Marine Corps is uniquely suited to accomplish this: we make leaders There is no obligation to the Marine Corps for attending this camp. The Marine Corps has a vested interest in the education and ethical development of our country’s youth. They are the future who, bearing the burdens of citizenship, will decide how best to employ the might and experience of the Marines. These leaders must be above reproach.

Student Testimonials “There are truly an endless amount of words to describe this leadership program. The heroes and inspiring leaders I met here made me understand what the Marine Corps' motto means: "Semper Fi". I will definitely spread the word about this one-of-a-kind experience. I will miss the individuals I met here dearly. Hopefully one day I will earn my place to claim the title of United States Marine. Oorah!” –David Chen "I attended a leadership conference (HOBY), but this course taught me 10X more leadership AND about the military.“ – Anon “This week was one of the best weeks I've ever had! I can honestly say that this has changed my life for the better!” –Megan Jack “The experience has changed me so profoundly, and I am so deeply indebted to everyone who made SLCDA possible. Thank you. I won't let you all down." –Brittney Flowers
