Contractor Safety and Security Procedures

SAFETY IS EVERYTHING! Each Cessco employee must acknowledge and fully understand that working in a safe and responsible manner in full compliance with all Cessco, Client and Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations constitutes a condition of employment with Cessco. L The following safe work practices are provided for your use and protection.

To create awareness of Cessco safety and security requirements, thereby ensuring the safety of our visitors and that of our employees and contractors. Think Safety First

CONTRACTOR Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of every Subcontractor engaged in work for Cessco, to observe and fully comply with all Cessco safety policies and procedures and applicable legislation, to ensure Subcontractor employees safeguard their health and safety while they perform their function in a manner which protects them, other workers, the general public and the physical assets of Cessco. Contractors are to follow their company policy and procedures if they meet or exceed Cessco’s.

Contractors - Security Practices
You are required to Sign In and/or inform reception when entering site. No photography is permitted unless approved by management. You may not leave your designated work area unless approved by your Cessco contact. You must Sign Out when leaving site. In circumstances where a contractor has multiple workers on site, a contractor designate shall inform reception of the total number of workers. Where a contractors working hours vary from regular weekday hours, the contractor designate shall inform Cessco supervision of the manpower on Cessco site.

Contractor Safe Practices
For your safety, while on Cessco sites please observe the following safety precautions: All contractors are to ensure workers are qualified and competent for the work performed and must show verification of training when requested. Hard hats and Safety glasses are required in all production areas of Cessco. Safety Glasses need to have permanent side shields. You are required to wear approved Safety Footwear in all production areas of Cessco. Hearing protection is required in all production areas of Cessco.

Contractor Safe Practices
You are required to wear proper clothing: Coveralls Pants (Shorts are not permitted) Long sleeve shirts (Tank tops are not permitted) All loose clothing must be tucked in. Remove all jewelry items such as rings, necklaces, earrings, etc. prior to entering production areas of Cessco. Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas.

All PPE used on any Cessco site must be CSA or ANSI approved.
All Cessco and sub-contractor employees shall fully comply with client PPE requirements provided they meet or are over and above the Cessco “MINIMUM” standard. L; All PPE used on any Cessco site must be CSA or ANSI approved.

Contractor Safe Practices
Watch for, and observe warning signs such as: Wet floor Stop signs Flagging Any special P.P.E. requirements All accidents/incidents must be reported to your Cessco contact immediately. REPORT UNSAFE CONDITIONS!

Evacuation Procedure You are required to sign in at reception upon arrival. This information will be used for a head count in case of an evacuation to determine if EMS needs to perform a rescue. Remember to sign out when leaving site. Please familiarize yourself with Cessco Evacuation procedures and muster points.

Emergency Evacuation Procedure
In the event of an emergency, the evacuation siren will be activated. STOP WORK IMMEDIATELY. All employees are to immediately shut down all compressed gas bottles and power equipment upon evacuation. Designated personnel for each area shall ensure all main valves are shut down and direct individuals to muster points and perform head counts. All workers are not to return to their work areas until the all clear is given.

Muster Points In the event of an evacuation, the following locations will serve as muster points for each part of the plant: Fabrication Shop 1 Muster Point A East entrance of Shop along 99 St. Preparation Shop and Yard Muster Point B West end of Prep Shop along 100 St. Machine Shop, Tent Area, Carpenter Shop, Field Services, Office Muster Point C North of Main Shop along 99 St. Fab 2 & 3 Fabrication shops - Field superintendent’s office, Field yard, Field warehouse - Sector 6 and 7, furnace & paint tent. Muster point D West side of Fab 2 along 100 St.
