Everything that a group of people produce or make is their culture A group of people’s way of life

Give examples for each Material culture: physical things made by a group of people (things that can be touched) Non-material culture: things made by a group of people that can’t be touched

The environment: where people are from and the land/resources History: all of the events that have directly effected a group of people help build culture

Culture Why is culture important?
It tells us about the people: religion, beliefs, values, etc. It helps us understand people’s actions Understanding culture helps us understand history.
