YPPC’s Metallic MAG. DRIVE Process Pumps Product Overview
2
Introduction Definition of Magnetic drive pump
-. A type of Sealless Pump -. Utilizes an outer ring of permanent magnets to drive an internal rotating assembly consisting of an impeller, shaft, and inner drive member through a corrosion resistant containment shell Application -. Hazardous and toxic fluids -. Heat transfer fluids -. Where high seal maintenance costs are considerations Requirement for sealless pumps -. Based on the need for a clean and safe environment

Major Design Features CASING PERMANENT RARE EARTH MAGNETS
Standard ANSI MKIII casings. Available in complete range of alloys. PERMANENT RARE EARTH MAGNETS High energy magnets can driver synchronously wetted shaft and impeller. NdFe and SmCo materials are available. IMPELLER Standard ANSI MKIII impellers.Available in complete range of alloys. Reverse vane and open impellers are all available. SINGLE ROW RADIAL BEARINGS Long life radial bearings. BEARING HOUSING Oil bath, oil mist and grease lubrications are available. ADJUST SHIM PLATES Adjustable shim plates can set impeller clearance. SILICON CARBIDE BEARINGS Designed for long life under maximum radial and thrust load conditions. INTERNAL FLUSHING PATH Lubricate SiC bearing. External flushing is available. CONTAINMENT SHELL One piece formed designed. Stainless steel and Hastelloy C276 are available. DOUBLE LIP OIL SEAL Protects dust and mist from outside. Bearing isolators can increase bearing life. DRIVE SHAFT Torque transmission and shaft key are equal ANSI standard pumps.

Casing Standard ANSI MKIII Casing 150# and 300# Flanges, RF and FF
Centerline mounting option Machined wetted face for high efficiency Available in complete range of alloys 3.2 mm Corrosion allowance Jacketed option for heating/cooling
8
Impeller Standard ANSI MKIII Impeller Reverse vane and open available
Long, smooth impeller eye reduces NPSHr Impeller clearance setting available Available in complete range of alloys
9
Bearing Holder One holder can use all 1M pumps
Two SiC bearings set into holder Two flush inlets introduce high pressure from impeller vane tip to SiC bearings One hole is located at the top for air vent in containment shell Anti-rotation pins prevent SiC bearings rotation Most alloys can be cast. Available external flush
10
Bearing Holder Jacket Built in Holder Jacket Heating and Cooling are
all available Most alloys can be cast.
11
Containment Shell One piece formed design Available for 150# and 300#
Standard Material of shell is Hastelloy C-276 Other Materials are available (Stainless Steel, Monel..) Shell retained in place using metal retaining ring and bolts Gaskets used for sealing
12
Inner Magnet Assembly General : NdFe (Neodymium-Iron)
Rare earth magnets General : NdFe (Neodymium-Iron) High Temperature : SmCo (Samarium-Cobalt) Completely sealed magnets Four holes permit recirculation fluid to cool containment shell Shaft key for torque transmission
13
Outer Magnet Assembly Rare earth magnets General : NdFe
(Neodymium-Iron) High Temperature : SmCo (Samarium-Cobalt) Change magnet length and number as power rating Outer magnet can protects radial movement of magnet
