Crime Reporting Mobile App is a national technology platform that collects, reports & uses data to make individuals & communities more safe & inclusive.
It signifies a new beginning in crime research.

3. Objectives of Mobile App
It is estimated over 20Million Kenyans own mobile phones. Half have smart phones. It offers opportunity for Kenyans to report crime(s) in specific localities-real time and country wide.

4. The App Processes
Victims of crimes or witnesses of crime(s) against other people can use the mobile platform to report these occurrences.

5. Mobile App captures Consent to report crime(s)
Description of crime incidence.
Crime evidence in form of Audio, Photo, PDF, word.
Location of crimes occurrences.
Preventive measures.

6. The App Processes
Once sent, the data is received at NCRC’s database, where it is filtered, stored, backed up, analyzed, translated and shared with relevant Govt agencies through shared links.
The Centre, thereafter, embarks on assessment of the reported crimes or incidences to generate analytical crime research reports on trends, roots, & consequences, policy & issue briefs.
