Dubbing is a process of sound filling in audio visual media either narative, monolog or dialogue to strengthen the atmosphere.

A person who does dubbing is called a dubber.

Wet recording/ direct:
All notes in the script related to the sound recorded at the same time (simultan), based on sequence number

Advantage of dry recording :
Time that needed is short
The time needed can be adjusted with narator activity/performers
Director can arrange recording time easily

Disadvantage of ry recording :
The storage of tape should be done carefully
It is not easy for operator to record and mixing
The possibility of undergoing the decrease of quality (adjustment equalizer)

Advantage of wet/direct recording :
Recording time is short
Recording result can be checked quickly
Easy to correct the mistake in recording at once

Disadvantage of wet/direct recording :
All involved in recording should be perfect
If one person absent the recording would be delayed
Before recording, director and operator should carefully prepare stuff necessary for recording (sound effect, ilustrasi rnusic, dll.)
