Attendance
Daily attendance is MANDATORY – as well as on-time arrival
The tardy bell rings at 7:45
If late (7:46), go straight to office for a tardy slip
Daily Attendance is taken at 8:50!
GOMM opens at 7:15 – children need to go to the Cafeteria if you arrive before 7:30
Teachers are at classroom doors at 7:30

4. Uniforms All clothing worn must comply with school policy
For your child’s safety all shoes must be close-toed with rubber soles
No heels, slip-ons, sandals, wheels or lights on shoes
School Uniform Exchange coming up in September

5. Meals at School
Free Breakfast served from 7:30 – 8:00 in the classroom
Lunch – purchase in the cafeteria or bring
Free & Reduced Lunch- Please fill out form even if you do not qualify or wish to participate
Starting the first day, you need to pay for lunch.

6. Restroom Necessities All students at GOMM MUST be toilet-trained!
This includes knowing when their body is telling them to use the restroom and wiping themselves
Accidents may occur, but should not be frequent

7. Change of Clothing
Please provide a change of uniform for your child that is weather appropriate
(check backpack and replace clothing if an accident has occurred)

8. Dismissal Children’s House dismissal is at 2:45. Please be on time!
If you arrive late you will need to sign your child out in the office
After School Programs available (sign up tonight!)
Your child will not be released to unauthorized adults (need ID and prior approval from you)
Alert your teacher or the office as soon as possible if there is a change to your child’s dismissal routine

9. School Supplies Please remember to:
Donate $50.00 to the classroom supply fee payable to Garden Oaks Montessori Magnet, and submit to teacher
Supply fee can be paid in installments
Or classroom supply list available on teacher’s website

11. Parent Volunteers Parent volunteers MUST be VIPS-approved
Parents, you are needed!
All parents need to sign in on campus in the office
VIPS approval is required before volunteering with students
Check with your teacher for volunteer opportunities
