power of a product – for any number a, and all integers m and n, (ab)m = ambm prime number – a whole number greater than 1 whose only factors are 1 and itself prism – a solid with 2 bases and other sides that are lateral faces formed by parallelograms

quadrant – one of the 4 regions into which the x and y axes separate the coordinate plane quadratic function – a function that can be described by an equation in the form y = ax2 + bx + c absolute value – the distance from zero on a number line

maximum – the highest point on the graph of a curve
median – the middle number in a list of numbers in order from least to greatest Test ~ Thursday, October 9, 2008 (which is Ms. Doty’s birthday…)
