E-learning MOOC: Some guidelines
HOU’s E-learning format Suggested MOOC format - Background slides with video of the lecturer are located at the corner of the screen. The lecturer has seriously and tedious gesture with steady voice (duration more than 15 minutes). - Package by Articulate software and in the SCORM format. The modules are then uploaded to a modified version of Moodle (self-developed by HOU). - Every course is selected from the formal curricula. - Video of the lecturer is set at full screen size at some interval of time and the lecturer presents in a vivid and humorous way. Each video should not exceed 15 minutes. - Video with in-quiz feature (multi-choice question to test the attention and understanding of learners at a specific interval of time) and caption (subtitle). - Design, package and format courses follow MOOC platforms (Coursera, Edx, etc.) to ensure the response of service with mass number of users. - Some courses should be built on demand from other parties rather than from the internal requirements.
