2. What is this subject all about?
PLP is a compulsory 10-credit subject undertaken at Stage 1.
Students must achieve a C grade or better to complete the subject successfully and gain their SACE.
The PLP helps students:
plan their personal and learning goals for the future
make informed decisions about their personal development, education, and training.
Developing goals for the future that will engage students in activities such as:
selecting subjects, courses, and other learning relevant to pathways through and beyond school
investigating possible career choices and learning about workplace safety
exploring personal and learning goals.

Acknowledge that the group is divers and many may have seen this diagram before. For others it will be new.
The new SACE has started this year with a 10 Credit Compulsory Stage 1 subject, the Personal Learning Plan (PLP).
This is deliberately positioned as the first subject to support student goal setting and review of skills.
The other compulsory requirements are Numeracy 10 Credits and Literacy 20 Credits. There are compulsory subjects at Stage 1 of 40 Credits. In these students need a ‘C’ or better for SACE completion requirements.

7. How will it be assessed?
Evidence of Learning
Assessment Type 1: Folio
Assessment Type 2: Review
Students provide four or five pieces of evidence of their learning for assessment. Each assessment type should have a weighting of at least 20%.
