2 COURSE OUTCOME At the end of this course you should be able to:
analyse the experimental result based on thermodynamics or fluid mechanics principles [C4]/PO4. perform laboratory skills in developing experimental techniques involving thermodynamics and fluid mechanics [P5]/PO5. communicate your idea and knowledge in appropriate principles of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics [CS]/PO9 demonstrate your role as a competent leader and/or a valuable team member in managing teamwork [TS]/PO10

4 OPEN ENDED LABORATORY The experiment for open ended laboratory will be based on Thermodynamic principle. You are required to set one simple experiment and prove one principle that you have learnt in Thermodynamics course. You will be allocated 5 weeks to set up the experiment and collect your data. In Week 14, you need to present your work.

6 Report writing and submission
For report writing, please follow the format that will be uploaded in the Morpheus. Ensure that the front and back page are using yellow color paper. You are given 1 week to submit your report after conducting the experiment. Please submit the hardcopy in front my office and the softcopy in the Morpheus (Link will be provided) You will be assessed through your report, demonstration, oral presentation and peer evaluation. Each assessment have their own rubrics. Please read and understand each marking criteria for each assessment in the rubric.
