WHAT IS THE “RED KETTLE CLUB”?
A “Salvation Army” Club Purpose: To engage students in active volunteerism through collaboration between The Salvation Army & their school. The mission of the RKC is to educate and engage the younger generation in the field of community service. By providing safe and nurturing service environments, RKC will successfully train & develop the next generation of community leaders in the USA. An opportunity for students to serve the less fortunate of their communities and participating & sponsoring various events throughout the year to help those in need. The founder of our chapter is Stephanie Wong. WHAT IS THE “RED KETTLE CLUB”?

Members must participate in 2 service projects during the year.
Have a minimum of 10 community service hours. DUES: $15 for new members. $10 for returning members. Requirements

Facts about the Salvation Army
The Salvation Army also has a church and band. Slogan: “Doing the Most Good”. The Salvation Army was the inspiration behind the popular Christmas song, “Silver Bells.” The bells are reference to the organization’s bell ringing. About 3.4 million people volunteer annually for the Salvation Army nationwide. The Salvation Army began disposing food and drinks near Ground Zero less than an hour after the 2001 terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers. In nearly nine months of service there, 40,000 Salvation Army volunteers, staff and officers assisted 4.5 million people with meals, pastoral counseling and social services. “Strawberry Fields Forever” in the Beatles 1966 song by that name, is John Lennon’s nostalgic reference to a Salvation Army orphanage called Strawberry Field in Woolton, England.
