2 to know In PD we have two verbs which both translate as to know. What you know, will determine which verb to use! kenne – to know a person, place or thing. wisse – to know a fact, something.

3 kenne kenne is a regular verb and conjugates normally. It is used when talking about knowing people, places or things: Ich kenn dei Onkel arrig gut. Der Martin kennt Nei Yarrick Schteddel gaar net. Oh, dihr kennt schunn Gone with the Wind?

4 wisse wisse is an irregular verb that does not conjugate normally. It is used to talk about knowing a fact. ichweessmirwisse duweesschtdihrwisst er/sie/esweesssiewisse

5 Ich weess net, wu er wuhnt. Sie weess all die Antwadde! Wisst dihr, wie viel Zucker es gebt? wisse is a great verb to know, especially if you need to say: Ich weess net! – I dont know!
