What is willpower, exactly?
Willpower is what gets you to do things even when you don’t want to. Here are some facts about willpower: We start the day with a good supply of willpower. Willpower is naturally depleted through the day. After the workday, willpower may be at a low point. That’s when many important health choices are made, such as cooking healthy food and being physically active. When willpower is low, it’s harder to make good choices. Willpower can be replenished-You can replenish willpower by doing small pleasurable activities that increase your energy. There are endless ways to increase willpower !Get up and move, even just a bit, Create positive emotions: Smile, find something funny, practice gratitude. Once you’ve replenished your willpower you’ll be better equipped to make great choices. Studies show that whenever you make positive choices to achieve your goal, you are creating new neuropathways in your brain that ensure future success. That’s right: Your brain grows whenever you make good choices. When people do what needs to be done, they usually feel good and experience a sense of accomplishment. This can create even more success. Who knew that achieving a goal would change your brain and be so much fun?

Don’t get frustrated if the number on the scale moves slowly or not at all. It takes time break old habits. Your mind and body need to believe you are going to be consistent with your changes.
