The portal triad seen as three round anechoic structures within the liver (L). The largest posterior structure is the portal vein. The hepatic artery and common bile duct sit anterior to the portal vein, seen as the ears of "Mickey Mouse." IVC: inferior vena cava. Source: Chapter 11.
