Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Safety Glasses Required at all times on the production floor, warehouse, maintenance area and QC Lab Required when in areas of blowing dust / compressed air Required when performing a task that presents an eye hazard Required by all visitors and contractors Must be used properly MUST BE CSA APPROVED

To be worn when using any grinding equipment Need to wear safety glasses underneath Disassembly, if possible Cleaning Storage Getting a new pair

PPE Continued… Safety Footwear
CSA approved safety footwear must be worn by all workers on production floor Visitors and office staff may enter the plant without safety shoes but must stay on non-impact paths. CSA Label – green tag CSA Label – white tag Static Electricity tag – yellow tag

Safety Footwear Inspect safety boots for Store in a bag in your locker
cracks breaks broken laces etc Store in a bag in your locker potential for contamination

Hearing Protection Required in Production Areas (Colour and Compounding depts) and Maintenance Why? Noise levels >90dBa for an 8hr shift Visitors, Contractors, Main Office staff must wear them in these areas

Clothing Coveralls All plant employees and contractors are required to wear Tyvek coveralls when working with lead Blenders must wear Tyvek suits when working with lead or any other pigment Check for tears, rips, deformity, deterioration or contamination before putting coveralls on Do not tear or rip Tyvek coveralls for tools, etc. Remove Tyvek coverall before entering clean area
