5 Guidelines from our leaders
5 mandates from Dr Narendranath Reddy , Nov 2013 address In summary, the five mandates are as follows: 1. We should remember that Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is our guru, God, and saviour. 2. We should study Swami’s teachings and remember, contemplate and practice them. 3. We should make a pilgrimage to the holy land of Puttaparthi (the punyabhumi). 4. We should participate in the divine legacy—Swami’s educational institutes, medical institutes, social service projects and the Sathya Sai Organisation. 5. Most importantly, we should practice Prema yoga, the path of love. Dr Maduray Inaugral speech Jan 2014 LEADERSHIP:- Must become servants. Ninety percent is character. No entitlement. Succession Planning. In the process of Unity we will emphasise the integration of the wings. The youth must play a pivotal role in all the wings Swami often uses 4 sanskrit words to explain our roles. These are Vyashti (individuals), Samashti (community), Srishti (creation) and Parameshti (God), Vyashti: Realise innate Divinity , Develop character Samashti: (Community) Our next goal is to focus on the community or society, Selfless Seva, Unity of Faiths and Universalism (Brotherhood of Man), Educare process, Sai Literature – make it available in schools, libraries etc. Srishti : (Creation) Expansion is my life. Is broader than society. See unity in diversity., COD programme, Recycling,Samasta Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu

10 Take a Bath! Traveling is fun because you can see how people in other parts of the world live. One thing travelers don't often think about before traveling is how other cultures bathe. Bathrooms in many countries may be different from the kind you are used to. In the United States, most people take a shower once a day in the morning. The showerhead is usually mounted on the wall and cannot be moved. The bather simply stands under the water, gets wet, scrubs with soap and often a washcloth, and then rinses off. Children often take a bath each night and enjoy playing with small toys such as boats and rubber ducks. Many adults, especially women, enjoy a soothing bath to get rid of stress at the end of the day. It is important to remember that when you take a shower or bath in the United States, you should be careful to keep the water inside the bathtub or shower. Unlike bathrooms in many countries, there is no drain in the floor. If water gets on the floor it cannot go anywhere and must be cleaned up with a towel or mop. It can also cause problems for the floor. So be careful. Reading
