6. CLTD Eligibility Requirements
Apply to take the APICS CLTD exam
To earn your APICS CLTD designation, you must pass one comprehensive exam. Prior to taking the exam, you must be eligible. Eligibility applications must be received two weeks prior to the day you register for the exams.
To be eligible for the APICS CLTD designation, you must have:
3 years of related business experience or
Bachelor’s degree or the international equivalent*, or
CTL, CSCP, CPIM, CFPIM, CIRM, SCOR-P, C.P.M., CSM or CPSM designations
*APICS defines the international equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree as the level of study that would qualify an individual for a graduate program in the country where the undergraduate degree was earned.
The eligibility requirements for the new CLTD Certification match the eligibility requirements for CSCP: 3 years of related business experience OR a Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent OR one of the certification designations listed here.

7. APICS CLTD Exam Computer-based testing globally with Pearson VUE
Scored exam available January 1, 2017
Contain 150 multiple-choice questions (20 pre-test questions)
Candidates have 3.5 hours to complete
Scaled score range , minimum passing score is 300
CLTD will have a single exam and is offered on demand) by Pearson VUE.
The exam contains 150 questions – 20 of them pre-test, or non-scored questions. Candidates will have 3 ½ hours to complete the exam and we’ll use Scaled Scoring like other APICS Certification exams.

Edition 2017, Version 1.0
The online tools will help you plan your study and walk you through the steps needed to prepare for and pass the CLTD exam. These web-based tools follow an Assess, Study and Practice path.
There is also a Resource Center with additional tools and support.
Just as with the CSCP Learning System, you will be able to access the web-based tools on your apple & android devices through responsive design technology; in other words, there is no additional “app” to download.

Customer feedback on program length and the number of exams required.
Brings the CPIM program more in-line with the format and delivery expectations of other comparable certification products
Addresses content overlap between modules
Task Force – Many people started the process and didn’t complete because of the length of time and the number of exams
Recommendation to redesign and make it similar to other types of certification such as CSCP
Current five modules includes overlap that can be reduced with the consolidation. by Because of the multiple courses there is oCurrenverlap between the current five modules.

Note: Current 4-exam (MPR, DSP, ECO & SMR), CPIM configuration will be maintained during YE 2018 to allow for candidate transition.

15. Ensuring Successful Transition
Modules 2-5 as well as the new combined exam will be offered simultaneously during an extended interval providing individuals time to transition.
The 10-year exam expiration policy for legacy BSCM exams will continue to be honored.
For those who have passed a few exams, there will be less financial investment required to complete the legacy CPIM configuration.
For those who have passed a few exams, waiting for the new combined exam will require a review of material that they were already tested on.
If only taken BSMC finish with module 2,
If taken BSCM and one additional decide what is best for the student
If taken three modules recommend finish with legacy program – get in a class and test by December 2018, or take self study or on line course.

16. CPIM Learning System Components
Participant Materials
The CPIM body of knowledge will follow the two-part configuration identified in ECM v6.0. The reading materials will be available in print and e-reader formats.
Online Materials
and Resources
The online component will provide tests, exercises, and additional resources for both learning and teaching. Premium features will support a blended learning experience.
Instructor
Materials
Instructor materials will include instructor Resource Books with facilitator notes, PowerPoint slides, classroom exercises, student slide books and an optional final exam.
The reconfigured CPIM will come with a learning system similar to CSCP and CLTD. Participant Materials, Online Materials and resources including flash cards, quizzes, and tests. Instructor manual for instructor lead classes.
