Sessions 1 and 2 are formal teaching, sessions 3 & 4 are group conversations.
You get in what you what you put in. You can leave connected or not connected – your choice!
You can treat me as your personal liaison to CPC.

Jesus First.
[I pray]…that you may know Him better [personally]. Ephesians 1:17-18
Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?” Then I will tell them plainly, “I never knew you.” Matthew 7:21-23 5

Love People
“They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity- all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.

Keep Moving.
[I pray]…that you may know the hope to which he has called you. Ephesians 1:17-18
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. James 5:16
All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it. 1 Corinthians 12:27 NLT 6

9. YOUR SPIRITUAL JOURNEY
Live Generously.
He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
Ephesians 4:16 6

10. JESUS FIRST
Sin breaks our close relationship with God. It causes us to fear God and try to live our lives outside of His will.
The wages of sin in death, BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
God demonstrated His love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
God is on one side and all people are on the other side, and Christ Jesus is between them to bring them together, by giving His life for all mankind. 1 Timothy 2:5 TLB
God has already done His part to restore our relationship to Him. He took the initiative. Now He waits for each of us to individually accept what He has done for us. 7

11. HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN
Realize that God has not been first place in our life and ask Him to forgive our sins.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 8

12. HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN
Believe that Jesus died to pay for your sins and that He rose from the dead and is alive today.
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 NLT
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name [Jesus] by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12
We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 1 Thessalonians 4:14 8

13. HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN
Accept God’s free gift of salvation. Don’t try to earn it.
For it is by grace you are saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
Our relationship with God is not restored by anything we do, but on the basis of what Jesus already did for us! 9

14. HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN
Invite Jesus Christ to come into your life and be the Lord of your life.
To all who received him, he gave the right to become children of God. All they needed to do was to trust him to save them. All those who believe this are reborn!—not a physical rebirth…but from the will of God. John 1:12-13 TLB
Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in... Revelation 3:30 HCSB 9

15. RELIGION VS. RELATIONSHIP
I can do more or I can receive what has already been done.
You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life. John 5:39-40 12

16. RELIGION VS. RELATIONSHIP
I can try to earn God’s approval or I can receive God’s love for me.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 12

17. RELIGION VS. RELATIONSHIP
I can obey out of duty or I can obey out of delight.
If you love me, you will obey my commands. John 14:15 NCV 12

18. RELIGION VS. RELATIONSHIP
Real Christianity is about relationship not religion. 12

19. WATER BAPTISM
We practice baptism by immersion in water — the way Jesus was baptized, and the way the Bible describes. 13

20. WATER BAPTISM Follows Jesus’ example. Demonstrates obedience.
Publicly declares your commitment. 13

21. Water baptism declares publicly what has happened privately. 13

22. NEXT STEPS - FOLLOW Give your heart to Jesus and be saved.
Declare your relationship with Jesus publicly.
