15. Everyone heads for drop, cover and hold
(i) Alarm
A pre arranged signal known by everyone should be placed at proper location.
A loud warning device such as bell, buzzer or siren will alerts those involves in drills.
(ii) Response :-
Everyone heads for drop, cover and hold
Persons get under a heavy desk, table, chair or bed
Make sure your move away from windows, glass or light fixtures
If there is not cover available, crouch and try to protect your head.

16. (iii) Evacuation
Remain in your respective safe place until the shaking has stopped.
After that evacuate the building.
Evacuation proceeds through pre-determined safe routs.
Evacuees gather outside in a safer area away from buildings, fences, walls, electricity poles, bridges and trees.
(iv) Assembly
At the assembly point evacuees to be grouped in order of departments or floors, whichever is more convenient to facilitate to next step, which is roll call.

17. (v) Roll call
During the roll call wardens (Room or Department wardens) or others designated before-hand will determine if everyone is present.
A search and rescue team would have to be dispatched to look for those missing.
(vi) Evaluation
After the roll call, there should be an evaluation where the institution identifies snags in the drill, problem areas, or potential problem areas.

18. Requirement for drill Identification-chart of hazard units in office.
Alarm/ Siren, known to everyone in office.
Pre identified open space to assemble.
List of pre designated wardens of each room or department.
Registers, pens and other stationeries for roll call.
Search and Rescue team in stand-by.
Evaluation and Documentation of shortcomings and gaps.
