According to the Energy of the Real Estate Report created based on the number of the electricity subscribers of CLK Boğaziçi Elektrik, the number of the transactions by the movers to new houses increased by 41% to 72,233 in the first six months of 2016.
The Movers to New Houses stood at 51,178 in the first half of 2015.
The Movers to Pre-owned Houses fell by 15.1 percent to 154,726.
This figure stood at 182,429 in the first 6 months of 2015.

3. Moves to New Houses THE NUMBER OF FAMILIES MOVING TO
NEW READY HOUSES INCREASED BY 41% İN THE FIRST SIX MONTHS
72,233 new houses welcomed their movers in the first half of the year. This means 41.1 percent increase from the same period a year ago when 51 thousand 178 new houses were occupied.
New house moving which set record in September last year with 13,501 reached 14,467 in May. This figure is the new record in new house moving within a month.
362 families moved to new houses each day in the first 3 months of 2016, while this figure rose to 435 in the second quarter with an increase of 20 percent.
In the first half of 2015, 279 subscribers moved to their new houses in 2015, this figure rose to 395 in the same period this year.

4. Moving to Second-Hand Houses
29,000 FAMILIES MOVED TO SECOND-HAND HOUSES IN JUNE
Total number of moves to the pre-owned houses which stood at 182,429 as of the first six months of 2015 dropped by 15.1 percent to 154,726 in the same period of 2016.
The number of existing houses where people moved to was 26,111 in April 2016, 22,102 in May, and 29,142 in June.
The pre-owned house moves in May, 22,102, was the lowest recorded monthly figure.

7. Distribution of Foreign Subscribers
Shining of Istanbul in the real estate market started attracting foreign families.
The number of foreign families which stood at 18,611 in the first 3 months of 2016 recorded a further increase by 6,243 in the following 3 months.
The total number of families rose by 33.5 percent to 24,854.
Middle East countries are particularly on the rise due to the Syria effect.
The share of Middle East countries within the total foreign residents of Istanbul rose to 35 percent.
The share of European and African countries is 20%, East Asian countries 15% and American countries is 10 percent.

Occupants of residents and businesses of Syrian origin in the European side of Istanbul which stood at 860 in the first 6 months of 2015 rose by 727 percent to 7117 in the same period of 2016.
Of the total 10,367 electricity subscribers of Syrian origin; 9498 subscribers are for residences and 869 are for businesses.
Monthly applications by Syrians for residential subscription which stood at 76 in January 2015 rose to 1736 in June.
Monthly applications by Syrians for business subscription rose to a record 196 in May from only 5 in January last year.
