Spain decided to attack England and make an
example out of England.

In 1577, Drake sailed into “The Spanish Lake”, the Pacific Ocean.
Drake robbed some of Spain’s richest ships.
Drake escaped the Spanish by sailing around the world. Only the second person to accomplished this feat.
When Drake returned to England after his “pleasure cruise”, the Queen made him a Knight.
Drake’s thievery and bravado in sailing around the world, Spain the most powerful country in the world, became a laughing stock to the rest of the world!
