CASE STUDY The Winn Group is one of the region’s most successful Solicitor firms and a leading national player in the Personal Injury legal market, employing over 290 people at it’s Newcastle headquarters. The group provides an innovative accident management process for its clients, including the integrated provision of legal services, replacement car hire and repair as well as medical treatment services to its customers. In August 2013 Tait Walker closed the private equity backed investment into Winn Solicitors, the leading national firm of personal injury lawyers. Tait Walker had advised Winn Solicitors for over 2 years in preparing a strategy, business plan and forecasts to discuss with private equity and other equity and debt investors. The funding was to provide an investment war chest and to facilitate the sale of 60% of Winns’ equity.
