4 Our strategy Make it work Solutions Services Add value to the core
Customer-centric solutions that make it all work Solutions Add value to the core Services Services that add value to the core Expand the core Best-in-class software to expand, optimize, and manage the core Software The core World’s largest provider of information technology systems & infrastructure Infrastructure Our strategy is all about building on our strength to deliver greater value to customers. We deliver our incredible portfolio in the way that is best for customers---helping them turn challenges into opportunities. Our services wrap our core infrastructure and software and are essential to making sure customers get the most value from HP. And our solutions make it all work by combining our technologies to advance our customers’ business objectives in a holistic and compelling way. The core: Infrastructure. At the core of our strategy is our infrastructure business. This includes our powerful hardware franchises; #1 or #2 market positions in servers, storage, and networking; and our leading PC and imaging and printing businesses. This is the core, the heritage of this company, because it represents about 70% of our revenue, and we do it better than anyone. Everything else we do either amplifies or builds on this massive differentiating strength. Expand the core: Software. HP will build on our core offerings with best-in-class software. We’re in the software business to help solve customer problems. Software differentiates our hardware, optimizes its performance, and can expand and extend customer relationships. It also allows us to manage heterogeneous environments consisting of both our and others’ infrastructures. Add value to the core: Services. Services are incredibly important to HP. Our services help make everything work for our customers, many of whom are service customers with decades-long relationships with us. Services position HP to do what we do best---act as a strategic partner to you, leverage our full portfolio, and ensure that everything works to optimize your enterprise. Make it work: Solutions. Our solutions make it all work by combining our technologies holistically to help you turn challenges into opportunities. When we bring you a solution, it solves your problem, not someone else’s. From Converged Infrastructure and security, to cloud and mobility, HP has a set of solutions that is second to none. Transition: Here’s how we’re packaging these solutions to meet customer needs.
