2 FWFD Responsibilities
Fire Protection HazMat / WMD Response EMS at Condos and outside of Speedway property.

3 General Rules Radio Designation is the apparatus number. (Engine 90)
Radio channel: CMD 10 FWFD guidelines. Complete Unit Activity Log

4 Fire Responses Structure fire: 2 Engines Motor home fire: 2 Engines
Auto fire: 1 Engine Trash fire: closest unit. (Engine or Brush) Fire Alarm activation. 2 Engines.

5 Automatic Alarms A fire unit will respond to the alarm panel in tower B4 to determine fire location Command will assign companies to suppression and water supply as needed If fire is confirmed in a high-rise structure, Command will request a full high-rise assignment from Fire Alarm. Form Suppression Group.

6 EMS Response Primary EMS: TMS medical staff.
Approx. 18 Two-person teams. Greater Dallas EMS personnel. Medstar provides Transportation. Fire Company EMS - begin patient treatment until relieved by TMS EMS. IC will notify EMS Dispatch.

7 Mass Casualty Incident
TMS EMS “Code Red” All TMS EMS personnel respond to area. Closest “B” Tower for Triage & Treatment Groups Dr. Genzell, Triage Officer for TMS FD Officer & Medstar “B” Towers are color-coded (Yellow, Green) Reds go in elevator lobby FWFD operates by SOP’s

8 Bomb Incidents Suspicious packages. Investigator and 1 Engine dispatched. Bomb Threat. TMS Security will search Device found. EOD personnel determine safe zones and appropriate action.

9 Weather Incidents If imminent danger exist, command will notify TMS authorities and advise them of the situation It is TMS decision on when to cancel the event Fire crews take shelter in substantial building.

10 Terrorist Incident Quickly don PPE. (upwind/uphill)
Don’t rush in. Quickly don PPE. (upwind/uphill) Mass Decon A Towers) Signs/Symptoms critical. (Or lack of) Pinpoint pupils (Nerve agent) HazMat can identify most radiological and chemical agents.

11 After Race Command will make the decision when to release companies. (Expect to remain for several hrs) Upon return to station 35, fuel & wash apparatus Return maps, radios/headsets, equipment. Report missing or damaged equipment.
