Overall goals and objective of the Project
Goal: To enhance awareness amongst stakeholders involved in e-waste management in 10 urban areas thereby encouraging environmentally sound recycling through collective effort of all relevant stakeholders in the value chain Objective: The awareness sessions will have the following broad objectives: Raise awareness among different stakeholders on various aspect of e-waste management Strengthen the existing e-waste management system Address key issues and challenges in e-waste management To promote various opportunities for stakeholders in the e-waste value chain Development of content for creating awareness WB, Odisha: MAIT UP, Jharkhand: CEAMA The campaign also envisages creating state wise inventory of e-waste. Currently, the inventorization is being done for 4 states by MAIT & CEAMA

Currently, the inventorization is being done for 4 states by MAIT & CEAMA

Nature of Activities The activities under the project have been divided into three activity clusters Activity Cluster 1 Target Group Specific Activities to raise awareness Activities would include workshops, screening of short films, Essay writing and painting competition Activity Cluster 2 Overall objective is to channelize e-waste Help target audience set up collection mechanism Demonstrate collection through a collection drive Activity Cluster 3 (cross-sectional activities) Multi-stakeholders workshop at national and state level Review Meetings Press release, Branding opportunities Fund mobilization activities A total of 270 workshops and activities will organized across 10 cities along with a national launch and 10 city wise multi-stakeholder consultation workshops. The workshops/activities will be based on the content created by MAIT and ELCINA (for manufacturers) A total of participants will be trained as part of the campaign The Technical Advisory committee (TAC) will comprise of representative from the various concerned central ministries and departments/bodies of Government of India like DeitY, CPCB and experts in the area of e-waste management

Monitoring and Evaluation
Strategy The project will be implemented in each city according to city development plan which will have the following component: City Profiling Operational Plan Monitoring and Evaluation Reporting The campaign will be begin with a multi-stakeholder workshop involving relevant stakeholders in the e-waste value chain.
