2. Propane Conversion of USMC Ground Vehicles
Project Objective:
This initiative will focus on evaluating the utility and feasibility and maintainability of utilizing alternative energy, in this case propane injected diesel engine systems, as a power source in wheeled and tracked commercial vehicles.
Vehicles:
Seven kits installed on heavy trucks, to include full size semi trucks (3 ton) and 10 ton dump.

3. Propane Conversion of USMC Ground Vehicles
Current Project State:
Kits are installed and have been since late May.
Currently working on collecting data listed in project focus
Operators have been very outspoken about how the operation and performance of the vehicles has improved since the vehicles began running on propane.
Power increase as well as a smoother operation of the vehicles.
Power is a big deal as Bridgeport is located in the Sierra Nevada mountains and traverse steep grades
Project Focus:
The project focus is on the overall cost/ benefit analysis, but will include miles driven, fuel consumed, fuel cost, maintenance impact, infrastructure requirements and issues, and green- house gas performance to support the overall financial impact related to alternative fuel use.
