Assembly station Movable suspension beam
The assembly station allow the connection of the sTGCs wedge with the MM spacer frame Concept: The spacer frame is hanged in a vertical plane (horizontal axis) thanks to an horizontal beam The sTGCs are brought in front of the spacer frame thanks to a carrier The sTGC is positioned vertically and horizontally thanks to the carrier adjusting system The sTGC is attached to the MM spacer frame When both sTGC are connected the load could transfer between the carrier to the MM spacer frame Vertical pillars anchored in the floor sTGC carrier sTGC MM Spacer frame MM sTGC 11/07/2017 R. Conclusion NJD/NSW is an important project for LS2, by the size and the number of persons involved, but it is crucial for the future performance of ATLAS. TC is involved with a large responsibility in the supporting structures (NJD and NSW) design, procurement and assembly operations. TC will be involved in the sector assembly operation on the NSW. (for 2018 and 2019) A large fraction of the TC is/is going/will to be involved for this project. The assembly of the NJD will start in August with the objective to have both NJDs assembled before the YETS. The construction phase will last until the completion of both NJD/NSW and then TC will be in charge of the transport up to UX15 (2019 and 2020) . 11/07/2017 R. Vuillermet - EP/ADO-PO - ATLAS TC
