5 The HINARI website address
To access the HINARI website enter the URL To access the HINARI website, enter the URL

7 Registration 1 Your institution must be registered for you to gain access to the full-text electronic resources. Click on Register to move to the registration form. Once the institution is registered, the librarian will receive a HINARI username and password. All members of the institution – researchers, teaching staff, librarians, students etc. – are entitled to use the institution’s username and password. 9 Logging in to HINARI 1 Login to the HINARI website by clicking on LOGIN. Note: If you do not login into HINARI, you will not get access to the full text articles. Log-in to the HINARI website by clicking “HINARI LOG IN”

11 Logging into HINARI 2 We will need to insert our HINARI User Name and Password in the Login box and click on the Login button.

12 The “Scientific Publications” area of the website
Once we have logged-in we will be taken into the Full text journals, databases, and other resources sub-page of the website. Once you have logged-in you will be taken into the “Scientific Publications” area of the website. From here there are a number of ways to access full-text resources.

13 Accessing journals by title 1
Journals can be accessed by title from an alphabetical list. To find The Lancet, click on L. Note there also is a View complete list of journals option. Journals can be accessed by title from an alphabetical list. To find “The Lancet” click on “L”.

A page appears containing all the journals beginning with L. A window and scroll bar appears on the page containing all the journals beginning with “L”.

Highlight a title in the list to select a journal Click on a title in the list to select a journal. We have selected The Lancet.

17 Other methods of finding journals
Articles can also be found via PubMed, Subject listing, Language, and publisher. Articles can also be found via PubMed, Subject listing, Language, and Publisher.

From the drop down menu, we have selected Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases. From the Dropdown list we have selected “Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases”.

An alphabetical list of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases journals is now displayed with links to the journal websites. An alphabetical list of Parasitology Journals is now displayed with links to the journal websites.

Click on a journal title to launch the journal in a new browser window. Click on a journal title to open the journal in a new window: Trends in Parasitology.

Click on the link to find journals by language of publication. To Find journals by language of publication, click on the drop down menu.

In this example we will look for French language journals. In this example, we will look for French language journals.

There are a number of Databases and (Bibliographic) Indexes, these can be accessed from the list on the right-hand side of the website. There are a number of other full text resources in addition to publishers journal collections, these can be accessed from the list on the right-hand side of the website.

There are also a number of Reference Sources. In this example, we will visit the resource Gastrohep. From the list we will select GastroHep by clicking on the name of the resource.

34 Free full text collections 1
There is a list of Other Free Collections that includes various free medical e-book and e-journal collections. These sites are free to all Internet users and do not require HINARI registration. There is a list of various free medical journal collections listed at the bottom of the website, these sites are free to all Internet users and do not require HINARI registration.

To select BioMed Central just click on the link in the Other free collections list. To select BioMed Central, click on the link in the Other Free Collections drop down menu.
