4/22/2018 3:03 PM What a Building Data File Looks Like Guidance for Uploading Building Data to CQD 1. Building data must be a complete dataset and include all subnets when uploading to CQD 2. Each building data file is tied to a date range. There is no such thing as ‘incremental changes’ because you can’t have more than one file for a given date. If you upload a file with a date range of 1/1/17 – 1/31/17 it will only apply to data in January. 3. Most of the time customers leave off the end date for the file, which means it will apply to all future dates (until a new file is uploaded that changes that). 4/22/2018 3:03 PM How to Upload Building Data The CQD Summary Reports Dashboard includes a Tenant Data Upload Page. 1. Select the Tenant Data Upload Link tag on the top right corner. This page is used for admins to upload their own information, such as mapping of IP address and geographical information 2. On the Tenant Data Upload page use the drop-down menu on that page to choose a data file type for uploading. The file data type denotes the content of the file e.g. ‘Building’ refers to mapping of IP address and building as well as other geographical information. 3. After selecting the file data type, select Browse to chose a data file. The data file must be tsv (Tab-separated values) file or a csv (Comma-separated value) file. © 2014 Microsoft Corporation. 4/22/2018 3:03 PM How to Upload Building Data – con’t 4. After selecting a data file, specify Start Date and optionally Specify End Date. 5. Select Upload to upload the file to the CQD Server. 6. Before the file is uploaded, it is first validated. Once validated it is stored in an Azure blob. If no errors occur during validation, the file upload will succeed. You can see the uploaded data file in the My Uploads Table which shows a full list of all uploaded files for the current tenant at the bottom of the page. © 2014 Microsoft Corporation.
