As a denomination we want to see United Free Church congregations across Scotland revitalised, renewed and growing and to see new congregations established, so that the denomination can play its part in the mission of God’s people in Scotland.

We need to recognise that we are sowing in hard soil

7. But do not despair – all is not lost

10. Church planting
Establishing new congregations where currently none exists
Offshoot from an established congregation
Or forming a new team and starting from scratch

11. Church revitalisation
A fragile congregation becoming once again a vibrant, worshipping and witnessing church

12. Renewal for mission
A relatively healthy church being encouraged and equipped to engage in mission in its community

13. Commit to begin…
…even if we don’t know exactly how things will go

14. Structures to enable mission
We will need to review and perhaps renew our structures to best enable mission to happen
We will need pioneers to lead these projects
We will need to commit resources

15. Prayer must undergird all of this process
