20 Twenties AIAA is the 2017 Association Sponsor Provide five judges – winners for 2017 selected in Dec. and to be introduced at SciTech 12/20 are AIAA members Winners profiled in AvWeek magazine Participate in the awards luncheon and presentation at the Laureate Awards (Mar. 2017) Workforce Study AIAA serves on survey advisory board 2017 results will be unveiled in a session at SPACE 2017 Aviation Week participation in Forums YP Focus group on media consumption being SciTech Editorial team to serve as plenary/F360 moderators AIAA will produce Aviation Week editorials on a regular basis AIAA student members receive complimentary subscription to Aviation Week & Space Technology

Demand for Unmanned UAS Symposium 1st symposium held at AVIATION Forum in June 2016 Brought together stakeholders from academia, government, and industry to identify research challenges that will lead to operational opportunities for the UAS community 275 individuals attended A number of industry thought leaders spoke on: Autonomy Autonomous operations Machine intelligence Human-machine interactions D4U Symposium being planned for AVIATION 2017 Aircraft Electric/Hybrid-Electric Power & Propulsion Workshop 1-day workshop held at P&E 2016 Capitalized on emergent interest Created roadmap to catalyze research in electrically powered aircraft; specifically Hybrid electric propulsion Large civil transport aircraft Hybrid Electric Aircraft workshop planned for AVIATION 2017

Space Commercialization Executive Summit 1-day by-invitation only event held at SPACE Forum Theme: “Connecting to Grow the Space Economy” 65 senior executives, influencers and stakeholders from the commercial space sector participated, including: Industry Space commerce Research & development Academia Government Proceedings documented; to be made available soon AIAA working with Executive Steering Committee to develop action items Planning a follow-on Summit and related activities at the 2017 SPACE Forum

Beyond B2B: “Connecting for Growth” Event First event held in Dayton, Ohio on 4 October 2016 Connected small businesses from all industries, including those from outside of aerospace, with AIAA corporate member prime contractors and government agencies Prime contractors had the ability to find potential subcontractors, vendors, collaborators, innovative technology, and/or acquisitions Event strongly supported by GE Aviation Small businesses learned about prime contractors, government agencies, and small business partnering opportunities Additional B2B activities are being planned for 2017

Cybersecurity Protocol: Aerospace Cybersecurity News launched in December Partnership with Richard Clarke and Good Harbor Security Risk Management Provides analysis and insight on the most pressing cybersecurity issues of the day Feedback welcome on topics and articles of interest Non-members can subscribe: 33% of recipients opened first (Dec.) newsletter; 12% forwarded to colleagues (on 26,000 sends) First cybersecurity symposium to be held at AVIATION 2017 Will explore cybersecurity and supply chain management through a participatory exercise Will consider prevention/defense, threat mitigation and response To include an aviation themed table-top exercise
