2 How can you defeat someone or something your unaware of?
Know your Enemy How can you defeat someone or something your unaware of?

3 Sid's worldview is called Satanism, which is a religion whose followers worship Satan and/or follow the teaching that he represents Satanism is not easily summarized. How Satanism is defined depends on what "division" of Satanism you are referring to. In contrast to Christianity, Satanists themselves disagree on their very fundamental principles. Satanists in different camps argue whether there even is a Satan and whether they are worshiping him or themselves. In essence they are a confused lot bound by and to lies. Sid the Satanist

4 There are different divisions
There is the Church of Satan, Satanists, Devil Worshippers, and many other categories included in Satanism Most of them claim to have roots stemming from Anton LaVey, the author of the Satanic bible and founder of the first Church of Satan. Some of Satanism's practices are constant, but Satanists' comfort and unity is found more in the “acts” of rituals than in the “relationship” to a belief system. It is easier to call themselves "Satanists" if they “do” certain things. There are different divisions

5 The First type – The Church of Satan
The first type is composed of those who would consider themselves a part of the Church of Satan or LeVeyan Satanists. They base their beliefs on the Satanic Bible Satanists do not believe in an actual Satan, rather they use the word 'Satan' to describe the forces of nature. Their religion primarily revolves around self-gratification, pleasure, and revenge. In terms of their beliefs about God and the Bible, they are atheistic The First type – The Church of Satan

6 He presumably started the first Church of Satan in 1966
He presumably started the first Church of Satan in As a self- proclaimed authority on everything evil, he began giving weekly lectures at the cost of $2 per person. And thus the Church of Satan was born. The Church of Satan

7 The Satanic bible is a collection of essays, composed and compiled in 1969 by Anton LaVey, detailing the basic, fundamental Satanic rituals and ideology. Note – the vast majority of Satanists do not even believe in the existence of a personal being named Satan. Rather, Satan is a symbol of struggle against a tyrannical God. The Satanic bible is divided into four books, namely “The Book of Satan,” “The Book of Lucifer,” “The Book of Belial,” “The Book of Leviathan.” The Satanic bible builds upon the traditional secular humanistic philosophy that each individual can be his or her own “god.” (What does that Sound like?) This leads to the arrogant and self-centered worldview that man on his own can determine truth, independent of any notion of God or higher authority The Satanic bible argues that sin is an inherent part of mankind’s character and is, for the large part, not immoral or shameful. The argument goes that Christianity chose carefully such actions which are part of mankind’s instinctual drive to declare as sin in order to ensure man’s continued dependence on Christ and His mercy. As such, LeVey argues that sin in the biblical sense is to be encouraged rather than frowned upon. The teaching of the Satanic bible concerning the existence of the afterlife is that there is no such thing as life after death, and thus life must be lived to the full in this world. This is the premise on which many of the Satanic teachings are based, for it removes the element of accountability. The Satanic Bible

8 The Church of Satan – 9 Satanic Statements
1. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence! 2. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams! 3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self- deceit! 4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates! 5. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek! 6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires! 7. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all! 8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification! 9. Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years! The Church of Satan – 9 Satanic Statements

9 The Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth
Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself. Do not harm little children. Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him. The Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth

10 The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins
1. Stupidity—The top of the list for Satanic Sins. The Cardinal Sin of Satanism. It’s too bad that stupidity isn’t painful. Ignorance is one thing, but our society thrives increasingly on stupidity. It depends on people going along with whatever they are told. The media promotes a cultivated stupidity as a posture that is not only acceptable but laudable. Satanists must learn to see through the tricks and cannot afford to be stupid. The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins

11 The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins
2. Pretentiousness— (High Self image) Empty posturing can be most irritating and isn’t applying the cardinal rules of Lesser Magic. On equal footing with stupidity for what keeps the money in circulation these days. Everyone’s made to feel like a big shot, whether they can come up with the goods or not. The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins

12 The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins
3. Solipsism— (Belief in self as the only reality) Can be very dangerous for Satanists. Projecting your reactions, responses and sensibilities onto someone who is probably far less attuned than you are. It is the mistake of expecting people to give you the same consideration, courtesy and respect that you naturally give them. They won’t. Instead, Satanists must strive to apply the dictum of “Do unto others as they do unto you.” It’s work for most of us and requires constant vigilance lest you slip into a comfortable illusion of everyone being like you. As has been said, certain utopias would be ideal in a nation of philosophers, but unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, from a Machiavellian standpoint) we are far from that point. Belief that the only thing one can be sure of is that he or she exists The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins

13 The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins
4. Self-deceit—It’s in the “Nine Satanic Statements” but deserves to be repeated here. Another cardinal sin. We must not pay homage to any of the sacred cows presented to us, including the roles we are expected to play ourselves. The only time self-deceit should be entered into is when it’s fun, and with awareness. But then, it’s not self-deceit! The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins

14 The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins
5. Herd Conformity—That’s obvious from a Satanic stance. It’s all right to conform to a person’s wishes, if it ultimately benefits you. But only fools follow along with the herd, letting an impersonal entity dictate to you. The key is to choose a master wisely instead of being enslaved by the whims of the many. The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins

15 The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins
6. Lack of Perspective—Again, this one can lead to a lot of pain for a Satanist. You must never lose sight of who and what you are, and what a threat you can be, by your very existence. We are making history right now, every day. Always keep the wider historical and social picture in mind. That is an important key to both Lesser and Greater Magic. See the patterns and fit things together as you want the pieces to fall into place. Do not be swayed by herd constraints—know that you are working on another level entirely from the rest of the world. The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins

16 The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins
7. Forgetfulness of Past Orthodoxies—Be aware that this is one of the keys to brainwashing people into accepting something new and different, when in reality it’s something that was once widely accepted but is now presented in a new package. We are expected to rave about the genius of the creator and forget the original. This makes for a disposable society. The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins

17 The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins
8. Counterproductive Pride—That first word is important. Pride is great up to the point you begin to throw out the baby with the bathwater. The rule of Satanism is: if it works for you, great. When it stops working for you, when you’ve painted yourself into a corner and the only way out is to say, I’m sorry, I made a mistake, I wish we could compromise somehow, then do it. The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins

18 The Church of Satan – The Nine Satanic Sins
9. Lack of Aesthetics—( beauty) This is the physical application of the Balance Factor. Aesthetics is important in Lesser Magic and should be cultivated. It is obvious that no one can collect any money off classical standards of beauty and form most of the time so they are discouraged in a consumer society, but an eye for beauty, for balance, is an essential Satanic tool and must be applied for greatest magical effectiveness. It’s not what’s supposed to be pleasing—it’s what is. Aesthetics is a personal thing, reflective of one’s own nature, but there are universally pleasing and harmonious configurations that should not be denied. 19 What Sid Believes – He is a “Self-taught” Satanists
About Satanism: Sid believes that there is a hidden spiritual dimension that contains the power of the occult (occult means 'hidden') that he can summon and use for his own purposes. Sid believes that Satan lives in this dimension, and can give him power when he prays to him and performs rituals. In fact, one of the main reasons Sid decided to become a Satanist was the power and temporary pleasure it seemed to offer. . Sid is a part of the second (and more popular) category of Satanist, which we'll call "self-taught" Satanists. Since Sid is 'self-taught', he determines the way he'll follow Satan. For example, Sid will perform rituals to conjure up satanic empowerment, and oftentimes have a few friends that participate in these rituals with them. Sid listens to heavy/death metal music that focuses on very dark themes like Satan, murder and graphic sex. Ritual sacrifices of animals (and in extreme cases humans) are sometimes part of the rituals that Sid may engage in. Sid oftentimes looks, acts, and dresses for shock value, so you will see him dress in black and portray a very rebellious attitude. Sid also has a strong hatred of Jesus and any type of organized religion. What Sid Believes – He is a “Self-taught” Satanists

20 About God: Sid believes in and hates God. What Sid Believes

21 What Sid Believes About the Trinity:
Sid is not sure about whether the Trinity exists or not. What Sid Believes

22 What Sid Believes About Jesus:
Sid has an enduring and burning hatred of Jesus, which is motivated and maintained by the strong demonic influence in his life. What Sid Believes

23 What Sid Believes About the Bible:
Sid doesn't believe in absolute truth, so he sees the Bible as a book full of myths and lies designed to keep people from enjoying life. What Sid Believes

24 What Sid Believes About the Afterlife:
Sid is not sure whether there is an afterlife or not, and if there is, it won't have places like heaven and hell, and Satan will have ultimate victory. Sid is much more concerned with getting as much pleasure out of this life than worrying about the next. What Sid Believes

25 What Sid Believes About Salvation:
Sid's whole life focuses on sinning, so he definitely doesn't see a need to be 'saved' from anything. Even in their harsh disagreement of principles and beliefs, there is an underlying commonality: self. The very sin for which Satan was forever dismissed from God’s presence is their common denominator: selfishness. All forms of Satanism claim that life exists to consume. Wicca demands you treat mother earth with respect and use the power that is within her and yourself, but for your own good. Devil worshippers hail allegiance to Satan and think he will guard them for all eternity; that is, if they believe there is an eternity. Some adherents of Satanism hold that the only existence they will ever know is here on earth. And thus, devil worshippers live for the moment and their creed is gluttony and debauchery. Satanism gives its allegiance to Satan, while at the same time some in the Church of Satan believe no God or Satan truly exists. Most of the Church of Satan also believes that there is no redeemer for them or anyone else. Each person is fully responsible for the path of his own life. But then they turn around and pray to Satan in rituals, asking for his sovereign hand to be manifested in their lives. This kind of thinking is characteristic because of the influence of lies and deceptions throughout their philosophy. In light of this, some Satanists don’t believe in the Satan of the Bible because he was a fallen angel—and who wants to follow a loser? The best lie Satan ever told was that he didn’t exist, and his interest is in turning people away from Christ. Whether they believe in him or not is actually irrelevant to him, as long as the end result is the same—their souls in bondage to him in hell. What Sid Believes
