God’s way is the only way (Deut. 12:29-32) Worship is regulated by law (Heb. 9:1; Acts 18:13) Worship today is according to Christ (Acts 24:14) Worship in spirit and truth (John 4:23-24) Examine yourself, then participate (I Cor. 11:27-29) Worship must be meaningful (I Cor. 14:15) From the heart (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16) Tradition-based worship is vain (Matt. 15:9)

Worship is sacrifice It costs us (II Sam. 24:24; Rom. 12:1-2; Heb. 13:15) We must give God our best (Prov. 3:9-10) People’s offerings were the best (Lev. 22:18-22) Priest’s offerings were the best (Num. 18:29-30) Imperfect offerings unacceptable (Mal. 1:6-14) N.T. concept of sacrifice has an O.T. background

15 Conditions of Acceptable Worship
Worshippers must not be hypocrites (Psa. 24:3-4; Isa. 1:10-17) Worship is not for show (Matt. 6:5), but for God’s glory (Matt. 5:16) All of God’s law must be obeyed (Matt. 23:23) Acceptable worship is motivated by reverence and awe (Heb. 12:28)
