Fig. 3 A comparison of the overall frequency of hypermethylation at various CpG islands in prostate cancer [19,30,37–41,45,49,52,57,61,63–71,72–86,88–102], renal cell carcinoma [69,103–118] and urothelial cancer of the urinary bladder [26,119–131]. The overall frequency of methylation at each CpG island was calculated by dividing the total number of cases studied in the literature by the total number of cases that were methylated at each CpG island.
