Objective: Students will discover how children used nonviolence methods to protest against inequality and racism. Homework: Read pages 2-4 and answer the questions on the handout

“Nonviolence: When Even Children Can be Leaders”
Dr. King was a Minister, teacher of nonviolence, leader of the Civil Right movement, assassinated for his beliefs Gandhi developed nonviolence ways to resist evil and prejudice. Dr. King used his model to advance the cause of the African American to gain their rights Booker T. Washington spoke out for the rights of slaves in the mid 1800’s and he also encouraged people to with diginity and Christian love. 2/1 6th period Nonviolence is a form of civil disobedience used to gain the attention of the authority to unlawful practice.
