University “Mediterranean”- a part of the Atlas Group
a part of the Atlas Group, one of the leading regional companies in Southeastern Europe. The Atlas Group: has over 25 member companies in Montenegro, Serbia, Russia and Cyprus ; a very diversified spectrum of activities such as: investment banking, retail banking, brokerage services, manufacturing, pharmacy, trade, consulting, real estate, construction, engineering, hotel management, tourism, radio and television broadcasting, art, education and sport. About the University University ’’Mediterranean is founded as the first private University in Montenegro in 2006. It is a fully accredited institution providing academic degrees in the field of tourism, hotel management, information technologies, business studies, visual arts, law and foreign languages. The quality of study programs at all faculties of the University was checked in 2008 and 2013 by the expert committee of the Council for Higher Education. The University has been reaccredited for the following five years which is an indication of the high quality of our work. The report of the expert team, among other things, states: “The team was very surprised how much the University “Mediterranean” has developed and created a solid foundation for rapid future development with the ambition to become a high quality regional university”

Mission The mission of University “Mediterranean” is:
to provide a functional synthesis of innovative and traditional education, enabling its students to acquire functional knowledge and get the degrees which will make them competitive on the market in the new age that is increasingly marked with global and multidisciplinary approach to social processes.

Fundamental goals The fundamental goals of University Mediterranean are: To provide education of the highest quality; To make possible the continuous development of creative individual capacities of our students and increase their specialized knowledge, with the aim of making them ready to become successful entrepreneurs, innovators, business leaders , change initiators, socially responsible persons. To enable students to take part in research projects. To improve work conditions for students so that they can flourish i.e. allow them to develop their individual academic talent to full potential. By applying of verified and verifiable international standards, to make the interaction among the lines: education – research – theory - practice possible and enable them translate it into real-life situations;

The Faculties’ goals The University’s Faculties are fully committed to: Offering prime education in compliance with the Bologna process and standards; Enhancing the quality of studies in a systematic and organized manner in order to be modern, flexible, comparable, competitive and efficient. Increasing the quality level of all activities performed at the University - teaching, study programs, grading system, textbooks and literature, equipment of the study rooms, information system, the size of library stocks, etc. Taking great care in selecting and recruiting excellent teaching and administration staff, promulgating scientific research, promoting publishing and life-long education, encouraging the students and staff to participate in international cooperation programs and making a connection between the relevant industry (potential employers) and their students.

Specializes in the field of financial and marketing management. Undergraduate, postgraduate master’s and PhD studies in the field of Marketing Management & Financial Management

Faculty for Information Technologies
Undergraduate and post graduate studies in the field of Information Technologies Certificates of IT companies (Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, Cambridge, ECDL i XPERT). The first faculty in Montenegro which provided Distance Learning System (DLS )

Faculty of Visual Arts The first HE institution of this type in Montenegro. Undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the field of Design of Visual Communication and Audiovisual Production.

Faculty of Foreign Languages
Undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the field of Business English (2 study specializations in Education and Literature); TOEFL and TOIC examination and certificates

The Faculty of Law Undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the field of Judicial-Criminal Law and Commercial Law Preparatory courses for the bar exam

Cooperation The cooperation is developed along these lines:
Entrepreneurial and business sector (students put their knowledge to practice, agreements between the University and the industry); International cooperation with other EU and non-EU HE institutions and education providers through mobility programmes : EUROWEB, EUROWEB+, SUNEBEAM, CEEPUS, GLOBAL UGRAD, MEVLANA, ERASMUS +, etc. Research activities to enhance Uni Mediterranean’s capacities, participating in the programmes: ERASMUS MUNDUS, TEMPUS, etc. To name a few *(TEMPUS projects): Blending academic and entrepreneurial knowledge in technology enhanced learning (BAEKTEL); Development of learning outcomes approach – a way to a better comparability, recognition and employability at the labor market (DEVCORE); Enhancement of cyber security system of Montenegro (ECESM).

Conclusion University Mediterranean’s path to follow in the future:
To introduce new course options, joint programmes and new modes of study; To improve the existing courses syllabi and study program curricula; To promote and further the interdisciplinary research; To improve quality as well as mechanisms for quality assessment and for evaluation of the changes implemented; To nourish the spirit of fair competition and cooperation at all levels;
