1: Promoting knowledge-sharing
Knowledge sharing calls for proactive promotion Group elicited interest for sharing evaluative experience, promoting joint presentations; Finalised short guidance to facilitate webinar preparation, recalling effective information exchange triggers Suggestions for upcoming period – Feedback sought: UNEG site update to facilitate information sharing through “messages of the month” Set-up responsibility for formalised outreach for knowledge between sub-Group and EKM specialists

Community of practice UNEG COP is unevenly used May require establishing new moderation model Possibly based on knowledge management specialists. Suggestions for upcoming period – Feedback sought: Confirm appetite for COP Guidance sought on suggestions from the group and next steps

Integrated database UNEG common database is unevenly used Integrated information management system, with modern views (common and individual) could streamline information management and facilitate access to evaluation knowledge Some advantages and challenges… Suggestions for upcoming period – Feedback sought: Guidance on opportunity of pursuing based on initial thinking shared by the group and if so suggestions on expected next steps and role of the Sub-Group.

Merged subscription lists Suggestion to explore the opportunity of using one outreach system to rationalise UN-evaluation outreach and communications , for anticipated efficiency gains and better management of audience interest Suggestions for upcoming period – Feedback sought: Guidance on whether this idea should be further explored If so, suggestion to start with cost/benefit analysis / feasibility study, possibly followed by a formal benchmarking of options including practical, cost, and legal implications.

3- Role of knowledge management specialists
EKM specialists identified on UNEG profiles., to facilitate networking Suggestions for upcoming period – Feedback sought: Possible role for respective EKM officers as relays of UNEG to: voice respective agency’s contributions to knowledge sharing manage the COP (rotation in time or theme-based) Manage agency input on UNEG database If appropriate manage listserv responsibilities
